OnePetro adds safety engineering papers

The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has joined OnePetro. More than 1,100 papers from ASSE conferences from 1999-2007 are now available in OnePetro. Oil and gas HSE professionals will find these papers a valuable addition to their research and knowledge base. Individual papers may be purchased for USD 10 each.

ASSE's more than 30,000 members manage, supervise and consult on safety, health, and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education. ASSE members work to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, to create safer work and leisure environments and to develop safer products, enhancing the quality of life. These efforts lead to positive bottom line results for businesses as they realize a reduced rate of injuries and illnesses leading to a reduction in lost work time, absenteeism, workers compensation costs, health care costs, and lower employee turnover rates. They also experience increased production rates, increased employee moral and a positive corporate reputation.

SPE is pleased to welcome ASSE to OnePetro. Other societies currently available in OnePetro include: American Rock Mechanics Association, NACE International (corrosion engineers), Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts, and World Petroleum Congress, in addition to SPE. More organizations will be available in OnePetro over the next few months.
